OXYBARR: Water-Based
Oxygen Barrier

OXY-BARR is a speciality water-based, highly dispersed bio-polymer oxygen-barrier emulsion designed to deliver extremely low oxygen transmission rates (OTR) and excellent aroma barrier properties, making it well suited for the packaging of snacks, fragrances, personal care products, and soap wrappers.

Intertek has rigorously tested for more than 200 different chemicals meeting SVHC standards, and for more than 25 PFAS substances, and has certified that EMULCEE formulations are food-grade and PFAS-free, compliant with US FDA standards, and safe for food contact applications.

CIPET

CIPET has certified that EMULCEE is a compostable formulation, with testing conducted on EMULCEE-coated papers. Heavy metal concentrations were found to be below the detection limit. In germination and plant growth studies, CIPET confirmed that seedling germination rates exceeded 90% across multiple species, including wheat and mung bean.

REACH Compliance

EMULCEE formulations have been assessed for compliance with the European Union's REACH Regulation (EC No. 1907/2006). All constituent substances have been evaluated against the REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List, and none are present above the applicable threshold limits. EMULCEE is confirmed to be REACH-compliant, making it suitable for use in European markets and supply chains with stringent chemical safety requirements.

TÜV SÜD

To substantiate EMULCEE's bio-based credentials, its formulations were submitted to TÜV SÜD for independent certification. Using ASTM D6866-22 Method C, TÜV SÜD verified and confirmed that EMULCEE contains 100% bio-based carbon content.
